Description

The project consisted of renovating and converting an old 5-storey textile warehouse in Old Montreal into a 30-room hotel. In addition to the exterior restoration of the building, two upper floors were added and refurbished, restoring the building to its historic lustre and character. The interior of the building has been completely renovated, and a new elevator has been installed. The architects and the owner have opted for a refined and very modern design concept as shown in the photographs above. The work was completed in July 2002 to the client’s satisfaction.

The interior of the Gault Hotel was designed by Atelier YH2, comprising of architects Loukas Yiacouvakis, Marie-Claude Hamelin and Paul Bernier. The restoration of the façade was carried out by Fournier, Gersovitz, Moss et Associés.
